Overall, this is a very attractive locket that is sure to make that special someone smile and a good value compared to the identical item through Macy's. My only criticism is:
-The shape and indentation of the locket make it difficult for an inexperienced person to get a photo in there.
The locket snaps shut tightly, but of course no locket is watertight and it should be taken off anyway to avoid tarnish. In the event that is does tarnish, it can be restored easily and quickly with a little polish.

My title says it all, the necklace's chain is quite fine (not coarse). But the locket seems to be flimsy. Difficult to open/close unless one has small fingers or long nails. Luckily my wife was too happy to notice either the locket's build.
