5 out of 5 stars Great   September 12, 2009
Mark A. Wachdorf (Sacramento, CA USA)
I've had this puzzle since July. It is now september and I am still working on it (tho the puzzle is almost done)

The biggest problem is I have crossed a line where the dimensions of the puzzle are larger than the surfaces I have to work on it. (by 1/2 an inch - drats no 5000 piece puzzle in my life for awhile)

5 out of 5 stars Valerie's stress relief   June 21, 2010
Sheilah L. Hill (Red Oak, Texas)
I brought this puzzle for a friend who often does 1,000 piece puzzles with no effort. My friend Valerie is getting ready to finish her chemo sessions. She was elated when her gift arrived. Puzzle have proven to be a stress relief for her during this time. she was so excited that she didn't allow anyone to touch the puzzle. She'd decided she'd take it on, on her own. After working with it for a minute, she gave in and allowed others in on the fun. She assigned area's to different family and friends as she concentrated on the top half of scene. What a wonderful time we had talking and forging lasting friendships! The puzzle was finally completed yesterday June 20th 2010. Completed puzzles usually don't stay long around my friends house, but this one will be up for a few days as a conversation piece for days to come. We found the scenery intriguing and mesmerizing! This is a beautiful piece of work.

4 out of 5 stars Worth the investment.   February 27, 2009
T. Lawrence (los angeles, ca)
Fun! I bought this with the intention of giving myself something to do for a looong time, and it sure took awhile. I grew up putting puzzles together with my mom and brother. Little ones, lego ones, 3D ones, whatever. When I saw how large they could be made, I had to have it.

Suffice to say this puzzle was definitely worth the money. I wasn't consistent in working on it, and my cats ruined many complete sections repeatedly that required repair time, but ultimately it gave me many more hours of attention than I ever hoped.

I currently have it glued to a large posterboard, and my boyfriend built a frame for me for Christmas. It isn't framed yet, as I feel once I frame it I have to hang it, and I'm not quite sure I want it on a public wall...

Keep in mind this thing is HUGE. It's about 4ft by 5ft, rough approximation. I took over the house working on this thing, so just be aware of how invasive it is. I built it on a long folding table, and still needed to buy the poster board in order to extend the edges of the table so the darn thing would fit. It is permanently glued because there was no way I could break down a puzzle of this calibur after devoting days and days (of cumulative time, mind you) to building it.

4 out of 5 stars Adult level puzzle   July 9, 2010
Cross Stitch (Elkhorn, WI)
This puzzle is huge and it filled up my entire dining room table with two extensions. I loved the color. It is very, very difficult since the puzzle pieces shapes are very similar. I spent months getting 60% done and gave up. My husband is glad to have the dining room table back. This is not for a child.
